The
stock flywheel was designed with extra weight to make
daily stop and go driving as easy as possible. The disadvantage
of this weight is that your engine has to use more power
to accelerate the flywheel which causes slower revs and
an elastic feeling when engaging the clutch. If you’re
building your car for higher performance, a Bönez
Lightweight flywheel will allow the engine to accelerate
quicker with more power getting transferred to the asphalt.
For comparison purposes, the stock flywheel weighs over
20lbs, the light steel flywheel weighs 17lbs, our Chromoly
units weighs 9.25lbs, and the billet aluminum flywheel
weighs a mere 8.5lbs. The prices for the Bönez
Flywheels include the required counterweight and hardware.

Engine
mounts are a common failure on 2nd gen RX-7s. Replace
yours with a pair of Mazda factory performance mounts.
These mounts were designed for the limited production
MazdaSpeed cars of Japan and are available now in the
US. These mounts are about twice the rigidity of the
originals, but are still noise-free. Installation is
